We recently installed an air source heat pump into a young family’s home in Northampton, helping them to keep warm and reduce their energy bills.
Ms P lives with her partner and newborn baby in a semi-detached, 3 bed house. They were heating their home using electric storage heaters, at a cost of over £2,300 a year. After receiving a letter from Connected for Warmth partners, Affordable Warmth Solutions, Ms P read the criteria and found that her family was eligible due to having a household income of less than £31,000 per year.

Connected for Warmth’s retrofit partners, Plumb-line, installed the air source heat pump which was specifically designed around the household by heat pump specialists Alto Energy. The air source heat pump has made a major impact on keeping the family warm.
Ms P, Northampton says:
“We have a newborn baby, and this has made a huge difference just knowing we have a warm house, especially for the night feeds. (The installation team) were fantastic and really nice.”
The air source heat pump has improved Ms P’s EPC rating from a D to a C.
